A counter culture film about semi-decent junkies. They had paired-up and robbed
drug stores. Back then it was heroin. And there was nothing decent about it.
They would live in filthy flop-houses. Do drugs have sex and do more drugs.
In high school we watched a film about junkies. They talked about $100-150 a day drug habits.
The dirty needles and hepatitis. They didn't mention the sex addiction. The needles turned
me off but if they had pushed the sex - I would be all in.

Especially if I had a Heather Graham. But this movie - the whole scene is cleaned up.
But add in some paranoia and dilutions you get the feel. Cops everywhere you turn.
I only remember one scene from it. When they were walking down the street and no one
saw the open transom. And Heather trashing the drawer.

Cults are weird.
And mostly it's about them having as much sex as they can.
So much so gruesome genetic flaws start showing up in their small clan.
Inter a group that takes an outsiders view. And one by one they disappear.
Of course we think the cult is innocent until a rebirth starts with people jumping off a cliff.
Some good gnarly action.

When this hit the "Red Box" I thought, what a weak premise. Not going to watch it.
Finally it hit my library, so I watched it.
Love how apocalypse people just go bananas. Every man for himself.
Of course our hero's must coddle a child that needs to mainline insulin to live.
Come on now, you know you can't bring weakness into the second coming of man.
I'm surprised they didn't flag 4 eyed people. My glasses, my glasses !

I don't know what's more brutal, prison riots or movie productions of such.
If I remember correctly, I'm sure I didn't side with the prisoners. The Viet Nam war was still raging.
It was 1971. A lot of things could make a man go ballistic and we're talking about guys that already
topped out. Food would be my trigger. You can only eat so much slop before you you say, no !
Apparently Attica, in New York state thought they could be as sloppy as some of the southern
prison gangs. Straight up evil, but then the men they deal with are _________. You find the word/expletive.

10 guards were killed and 29 prisoners. Not to mention all the rapes. Sounds like the surviving prisoners and
guards got a settlement.

Angels and Demons

It's an elaborate murder mystery involving Vatican clergy.
It was nice to see the inner workings of the Vatican. But it was all sets.
It played out like "National Treasure" as clues were given as to where the
next murder will be. Of course the reason for the murders is because the
church, Catholic, murdered dissidents hundreds of years ago.

I remember seeing this back then. The theatre was packed.
We knew it was about drugs and we wanted to see where it would take us.
The movie asks some good questions.
---So they do these experiments with the righteous Hurt to the barely cro magon, Haid. [Mason]
The staid control. What they expected to learn from the original thought, to me, is just a waste
of time. Dude went pre Neanderthal. At least he wasn't too stupid about his female. So he marries
her has a couple children then says his life is to cluttered ! Like Ben Afflect. And seeks a divorce.

easy daughter. But a least she won't have her heart torn apart.
--- I had a friend that did it right. Found his sweetheart at 18 and married
